Meet Charles

This absolutely HANDSOME MAN needs a home! He came to me as a stray and we discovered he is FIV (feline aids) positive. He is approximately 4 years old and a mature adult male cat, weighing 12.5lb! Unfortunately I cannot add him to my overflowing house of kitties, so I am looking for a new forever home for him. Due to his FIV status, I am searching for an indoor only home with other FIV+ cats, or where he will be the only cat. Charles was recently neutered, so he is ready for his forever home!

Since he has been in my care, this is what I've learned...
First of all, he is such a love! He loves head rubs, chin rubs and being brushed. He is also quite a talker and will "chirp" at you as you talk to him. He absolutely loves companionship and really just wants to be with you, even more than a big fancy bedroom with comfy beds. He is fine being picked up but isn't a lap cat. He is fine with my dog and will be affectionate if the dog is quiet but will be bossy if the dog is out of control or in his space.

He is now neutered. He has been using the litter box faithfully even now that he is no longer confined to a crate and has a larger carpeted room. He loves to eat and is especially pleased when he gets extra treats. Catnip is also wonderful!

He did test positive for FIV, but that doesn't mean he is a sick cat, or that he ever will be as a result of FIV. These cats may never have any symptom relating to FIV their entire life. Right now, he's a happy and health boy who will need regular vet exams, vaccines and dental care just like any other cat!

Most importantly he is still in need of a home. I just cannot keep this guy forever or even for that much longer, and I am desperate to find him his own home. I'm also wondering if anyone would like to foster him on a longer-term basis if needed, with a bit more room in their house. (Maybe someone has a part of their house that could work well for him to share that space?).

This guy is just the sweetest and really deserves a home. Please spread the word! And thank you to those that have already shared or considered adopting him. I really appreciate it!
